Year 6 Book 1 Term 1

The three books in the Year 6 series introduce the final vocabulary required at KS2 and are themed around the writings of William Shakespeare.  They include quotations from The Merchant of Venice, Romeo and Juliet and more of his well-known works.

There are dictionary exercises to encourage pupils to find new words to add to the existing word families and practice in using prefixes and suffixes.  Pupils are encouraged to produce a variety of different writing styles and demonstrate an understanding of how to use idiomatic expressions.
