It includes questions which involve recognising situations in which those arithmetic operations have to be used and also includes references to notes, cheques and credit cards as well as coins.
Pupils will need access to either real of facsimile coins as there is an emphasis on practical work.
It has been found that success with money work is best achieved if students already have the ability to count in twos, fives, and tens.
